Paying Your Rent
Are you a Parkside tenant? Are you confused about where or who to pay your rent? Did
you already pay Parkside or your landlord this month's rent? Then you are all set for
this month. You don't have to pay your rent twice! Did you wait to pay this month's rent?
You will have to pay this month's rent at some point, so hold on to your rent money!
Do you want to contact your landlord but you don't who or where he or she lives?
Call your Town Clerk. Your Town Clerk can give you your landlord's name and contact
information. Then you can call or write your landlord and ask him or her who to pay
your rent to and where to send it.
Getting Repairs, Maintenance and Services
Are you a Parkside tenant? Do you have health and safety problems at your apartment
that you need to have fixed right away? Are you confused about who to tell about the
repairs, maintenance, or services you need? Do you want to contact your landlord
but you don't who or where he or she lives? Call your Town Clerk. Your Town Clerk can
tell you your landlord's name and contact information. Then you can call or write your
landlord and tell him or her about the health and safety problems you have at the
apartment you rent from your landlord.
Renters' Rebate for Vermont Tax Return
Did Parkside send you a Landlord's Certificate to file with your Renters' Rebate form? Make
a copy. Keep the Landlord's Certificate somewhere that you can find it. You can use
the Landlord's Certificate to claim your Renters' Rebate when you file your taxes.
You can also use the Landlord's Certificate to show that you paid your rent to Parkside.
What if your landlord says later that you didn't pay your rent? You can use the
Landlord's Certificate to show that you did pay.
